There is nothing wrong with adding additional support to your village.

Does any of this sound familiar?

If any of the statements resonate with you, let’s talk.

You are Not Alone

Pregnancy is a time filled with lots of excitement as you prepare to bring life into the world. The media makes all aspects of pregnancy and even postpartum to be such a happy time.  While it is a happy time, it can also be a time of worry, fear, uncertainty, shame, guilt and pain.

Who do you talk to if you are feeling not so “happy” during your pregnancy or even postpartum period. You may be feeling shame or guilty that your experience in labor and delivery did not go as planned or maybe you are struggling to adjust to your new life during your postpartum period. Maybe you are having a tough time connecting with your new baby or feeling as if you lost yourself while becoming a mom.  How are you able to find “you” again?

If you find yourself feeling this way, know you are not alone and help is available. Let’s talk.

My Individual Therapy Counseling Framework

Consultation: Complete the consultation questionnaire and 15-minute phone or video call to learn more about our services and if I am a good fit for your needs.

Recognize: During our initial sessions, we will together to help you acknowledge and recognize what is happening for you on your motherhood journey. We will discuss your counseling goals and the things you want to change.

Release: This is an important step to bring about change. During these sessions you will begin to release anything that is holding you back, so you can begin to heal. This could mean releasing  hurt/pain/trauma or even learning how to forgive yourself or others in your life.

Shift: Once you have reached this stage, know that you are making serious progress in your therapy work and are very close to meeting your therapy goals. Shift represents a vital mindset change, which is key to changing how you view your life and how you intend to live your life going forward.

Transform: This stage occurs at the end of our counseling relationship. At this point, you have made your transformation and are living the life you are destined to live. You are able to see the light at the end of the tunnel and are ready to tackle a new challenge.  Whatever brought you into counseling, has been addressed and you feel strong enough to leave counseling services.

Launch: You did it! Congratulations, you have accomplished your counseling goals and are ready to graduate from routine counseling services. At this time, you and I will remove the routine counseling sessions from the schedule. If needed, we can meet for ad-hoc sessions or resume more routine counseling sessions at another time.
